Cedros Island, Baja Mexico - August 6-10, 2012
My store, Pacific Coast Bait & Tackle, will be sponsoring a trip to Cedros August 6 - 10, 2012. We will be picked up here in North County and driven to Ensenada where will board a plane for the flight to Cedros. We will fish that first afternoon and for three more days before returning home. Alaska in 2012 - two trips - June & August
I have two trips scheduled. The first trip is the last week of June to Petersberg. The lodge is Crystal Bay. The owners of Crystal Bay donated a free trip to our club's Wounded Warriors Program so we will be trying to fill up their eight spaces during the last week in June. The cost for five days of fully guided fishing is $2850 all inclusive. You pay for airfare, Alaska license, tips, and booze.
The second trip is August 4th to our usual spot at Sitka, Sitka Point Lodge. The cost of that trip, again five full days of fully guided fishing is $3250. Alaska license is included. I get a half price trip so we divvy up the free half trip among those who join us. Last year, we each got $200 back.
Both locations are accessible via Alaska Airlines 737 service. Flights to Petersberg require a night stayover in Seattle going up but not coming back. That's because all the Seattle to Petersberg flights are early morning.
If you are interested in these trips, get back to me ASAP even if you aren't absolutely sure at this point. Crystal Bay holds only eight and Sitka Point holds fourteen.
King salmon will be available (commercial fisherman will have already taken their quota by July 12th or so). It should also be the height of the silver salmon run. The Sitka lodge fills up fast so please let me know ASAP if you are interested. The lodge can hold a maximum of 14. Deposits will be needed in early fall. I will start watching Alaska Airlines in a month or so for fare sales. They usually have their lowest fares for next summer available sometime between August and October.
